This is a jig for creating hydrogen gas via the electrolysis of water using 2 carbon electrodes from AA Carbon-Zinc batteries. The gas can be used as fuel once liquified, or used for lift in lighter-than-air flight.
Assembly:
Insert either 2 or 4 electrodes into the holes on top (bottom when printing). When only using 2, ensure that one electrode is on the exhaustion side and the other is on the collection side. (unless a combined output HHO generator is desired, in which case both should be on the collection side)
To avoid damage to tubing when using corrosive electrolytes, fill the cylinder on hydro_gen_cell with water to strip remove particles of electrolyte.
Printing:
No supports are needed except for the cylinder on the hydro_gen_cell
If using strong bases (such as NaOH or KOH) for electrolyte, use polypropylene or HDPE, and ABS works fine on dilute solutions and should be vapour smoothed.
