This is my go to model to print when dialing in print parameters of assembled parts for a useful calibration model. It prints in about 30 min and I put them everywhere. I also keep one in that random small fifth pocket in jeans. Yes they survive the wash just fine with maybe a bit of rust on the blade.

This design is ambidextrous, locking on both sides. The knife does not have a stop when extended since I keep my thumb on the blade holder when in use. To insert the blade angle in the cutting edge first then rotate into position.

I generally print in ABS. A couple drops of 3 in 1 oil, wax or soap, helps for tighter fits if you have some elephant's foot or similar interference.

3 walls, top and bottom. I like the concentric pattern's look.

85% infill but I bet down to 35% would work. Triangular infill gives a nice uniform thru thickness stiffness.

Calibration: Tune settings or files for desired fit. Once the printer is dialed in I use this for new filament for shrinkage and flow multiplier.

FYI: This model was specifically tuned for Kobalt brand blades. The CAD model I created for this is also included. Printables won't let me attach the assembly model with the parametric links.

STEP and SolidWorks files included.

I've carried similar knives for a while and most recently the talon and my remix. Inspiration was taken from many EDC knives you can purchase or print. This most closely based on the talon: https://www.printables.com/model/26995-talon-utility-knife

Added lanyard hole version.
