I needed some form of document camera to be able to digitize hand-drawings reasonably fast.

Since they're 60+ Euros and I had a webcam around I decided to build a stand for the webcam.

Additional material required:

  • 2x40cm 8mm rod/pipe/whatever (for a c930e to capture A4 landscape, if you have another camera your mileage may vary)
  • M3 screws, I've used M3x16, you will need at least 2, I've used 7
  • a Bessey TK6 60/22 if you want to clamp it to a table
  • some sort of board, 30x30cm or so if you don't want the clamp
  • a screw to get your webcam mounted - ¼-20 is what fits cameras.

there's two more files than required here - the drillguide to get the base properly aligned on a board and the uni-clampplate, I've used that as a stabilizer.

You'll need to cut M3 threads into the foot and the cam-mount, if you want to use the uni-clampplate as well then print that twice, drill one to 3mm and cut M3-threads in the other one.
