This is an update to my original design, with the following changes:

  • Cleaned up the geometry of the outer shells.
  • Additional post/hole (totalling 3) to join the 2 outer shells
  • An opening to see the gears in action

Printing Instructions:

  • Resolution: 0.15
  • Supports: No
  • Rafts: No

Assembly Instructions: (Best to assemble on a flat surface.)

  • Press fit Focus Bit through Gear B as far as it goes.
  • Place the above assembly on to Shell A, align the Focus Bit with the hole of Shell A and push it through once more as far as it goes.
  • Place Gear A onto the shaft of Shell A, the teeth should mesh nicely with Gear B.
  • Press fit Shell B to Shell A using the posts/holes.

How to use: (Two hands are required)

Hand 1: Hold the tool against the PiCam, align the protruding Focus Bit with the Raspberry Pi camera lens.

Hand 2: Rotate Gear A

Optional other use:

Fidget Toy

Cheers.
