That's a mount for your filament sensor if you go to direct drive but want to keep your filament sensor in place without having the motor mount beneath it. I added a mount for ptfe (just push in) so the filament does not grind at the filament sensor. You could also do a reverse bowden that way.
I thought about a version for screwing in a bowden terminal, but if you want that you could print that part solid and drill it out so the terminal can cut it's own thread. Sorry, was lazy here because I didn't need it. ;-)
