First attempt at re-modeling the Steam Deck D-Pad. I would not say this is a suitable replacement yet, the cardinal directions feel better but the diagonals leave much to be desired. Need to adjust the pivot geometry on the bottom, step file is provided if you would like to try.
For FDM, print with front (the place you put your thumb) as bottom layer, and use snug supports with tight (0.2mm) top interface separation. For SLA, print with the supports on the back side.
To-Dos:
- Improve underside/pivot so that diagonals have more tactile feedback
- Improve retention guides to keep it seated better
- Add concave version for SLA to provide better grip
