A model of a jar of "Kirkland Organic Strawberry Spread" with its lid. This model is intended as a starting point for upcycling projects. The FreeCAD file contains a spreadsheet with most of the measurements in the sketches are parameterized.
The lid is threaded and creates a tight seal. The original metal lid is not threaded, and uses four barbs to lock into the glass threads. Since plastic is less sturdy than stamped metal, I've replicated the pitch of the glass threads on the inside of the lid, as the barbs don't have much contact surface area.
