Use a rubber band to keep two halves closed.
3d printed surfaces have tiny gaps and holes in which bacteria can thrive. A coat of sealant would be a good idea. Hobby stores sell coating epoxy that is FDA compliant for food contact.
I printed it with PETG 0.2mm and sealed with quick coat epoxy, seems to work well.
