My doorstop bumpers recently deteriorated to the point of falling apart. When I ordered new silicone replacements from Amazon, I discovered that my doorstop's size is quite unusual, making it nearly impossible to find a readily available replacement. Thankfully, 3D printing came to the rescue. I used white TPU 95A - ideal for a firm stop - but if you prefer a slightly softer material, I recommend using something like NinjaFlex.
UPDATE: I have had these in my home now, on most of my doorstops since 2022 and they're still holding up great. I've had several factory rubber stoppers come apart and I've since replaced them with these. Also, I've used them to make the shape slightly different to fine tune exactly how close the door comes to the wall as well as changed the infill to absorb more of the impact (in some applications).
Print settings:
- white TPU
- Layer height 0.20mm (quality)
- Infill: yes (concentric - 10%)
- Supports: Recommended (you could try without) but supports on build plate only works well just give it 100% or 110% x/y gap to ensure it doesn't stick
