This made an incredible difference on my 2240. Now you can hear the hammer when firing. I haven't noticed any negatives on accuracy and the FPS is unaffected.
If it does not fit snuggly enough, use glue ;)
Make sure you get clean perimeters while printing, it will be difficult to post process the internals.
