I wanted a way to store my keyboard above my desk but still have access. I used this on an IKEA desk that I modified to add a large shelf to accommodate a large TV / monitor combo. The opening on the bracket is 16mm and can be adjusted to fit any size shelf thickness. The length of the bracket could potentially be shortened 10mm but i like it as I am able to lift the keyboard out and use it on the desk and return it. I am using a pretty generic PC keyboard. The bracket is surprisingly sturdy as I am typing on it right now. This set up will allow me to unlock my computer as needed and give me additional desk space that I can utilize. Hope that this works for you or inspires you to remake a style of your own.
