While building my Q-Pack MK3, I found that the retention nuts glued in the sockets of the mounting bracket kept coming loose and stripping the material on the bracket when I bolted the motherboard to the pack. I decided to modify the brackets to make the sockets deeper in order to increase the surface area of the bracket/nut interface.
I made all sockets up to 1mm deeper while still maintaining at least 2mm of material between the base of the socket and the bracket's external wall.
This has made my mounts more secure and I have not had any nuts strip out with the deeper sockets.
