I designed this to sit on the top t-rail, but the cable routes will have to be such that the wires won't hit the unit, and the ribbon cable won't be in the work area. In the picture, I'm still working on wire routing, so I have it offset and only mounted by one screw. I plan to route all the wires to the left side of the mill and gooseneck to the head from there. Then I will be able to mount this anywhere on the top rail.
Additional bonus I didn't expect: I can easily see when the cnc is on. Before, the LEDs in the rear wearing easy to spot, and I kept leaving the machine on.
