3D Printed print bed scraper tools are great, they don't damage the print surface, are safer to use, and can be produced when needed! The drawbacks are that plastic blades are much less durable than metal ones, and printing a complete scraper each time the blade gets damaged is time consuming and wastes plastic!
My design allows extra blades to be printed, and quickly replaced without tools and without printing the handle.
It turns out engineering a 3D printed scraper tool is challenging! The edge angle and thickness must be just right to maximize both edge sharpness and durability. The blade must be stiff and strong, while still allowing some flexibility. Additionally, the handle should be ergonomic and comfortable without needing too much material. After making dozens of prototypes, I'm happy with this model.
