Redesigned from the ground up. Works better for blind/twitch presses, and no longer feels like a joystick.

[Currently untested: in BETA]
Due to the way the buttons force the joystick in the opposite direction to the intended keypress, it will require remapping, but you're probably already doing that as most people use the joystick as a joystick, rather than a D-pad. I took design inspiration from the first party PS3 chatpad for the shape, but hopefully it won't require a hinge and spring like that did and can just bend as part of the plastic, but V5 still needs testing. I also took inspiration from akaki (on thingiverse for his controller HOTAS/HOSAS/yoke mods) for the orientation of the buttons to aid the smoothness of presses, but that only goes so far. Perhaps a future version could include a separate part that houses the buttons for smoother sliding between parts, but I'm unlikely to ever get round to that as V4 works just fine regarding this (and hasn't changed in V5) and I have many more CAD projects that I need to finish (and upload).
To assemble, first check the buttons easily slide, and then hold it upside down (to prevent the buttons from falling out), then slide it over the top (where the USB port is), and then just squeeze the other end to snap it onto the controller.
This may work better on a resin (or SLS) printer due to the organic geometry inherent in human interface devices. I have included a recommended different orientation for the buttons and optional different orientation for the case-clip-thingy, but as I've never used a resin printer, I don't know if the extra print time would be worth it, as layer lines are much less pronounced on resin printers, and the different orientation (suggestions) would be to get layer lines to line up for smooth sliding between parts like akaki's controller HOTAS/HOSAS/yoke mods over on thingiverse.
I have included the .3mf of my Prusa Slicer project, which includes recommended orientations and custom painted supports for the case-clip-thingy, and auto-painted support for the replacement joystick. I use a MK2.5S and a 0.6mm nozzle, so I would recommend confirming what settings you need for your own print.
V5 is as of yet untested, will be printing it in the next couple of days. (It uses the same joystick as V4, but I forgot to include it in the STEP, and I don't want to manually re-paint the support in Prusa Slicer, so it's a separate file.) It should not slide from left to right like V4 does.
The V4 case-clip-thingy slides from left to right when left/right are pressed, sometimes causing jams (mainly left) and sometimes doesn't register presses (mainly right). This is probably solvable by either gluing the case-clip-thingy to the controller, or using a self-tapping screw in middle of the front, but that's a very permanent mod, and I didn't want to do that.
