hhI needed some better storage and visibility for my hobby paints, so I made a modular paint holder. Can be used in any combination you need.
Paint bottles up to 35mm
Revell small cans
You will need
- 6900z (10x22x6) bearings.
- M10 threaded rod
- M10 nut
I've printed them with
- ABS (ABS is a bit more forgiving as you will have to smack the bearingsin there with a mallet so a brittle filament might cause it to crack.)
- 0.4mm layer height (0.6mm nozzle)
- 20% lightning infill
- 3 perimeters
- Supports from buildplate.
The holders will spinn without bearings, can use a washer to reduce the friction but for best spinnage use bearings.
To stabilize the whole thing a M10 threaded rod is used and in the bottom piece there is a M10 nut pocket.
Surprisingly sturdy standing on the base with 4 sets of both paints and a top. I will be suspending the thing from the ceiling (rail or arm not decided yet).
