This model functions as an insert in an Altoids-style tin to hold fire-starting materials. I designed it as a gift for Cub Scouts who were “crossing over” into Scouts BSA.

The insert will fit in a tin that is approximately 95 x 62 x 20 mm/ 3.75 x2.45 x 0.9 inches (L x W x H). The insert will then hold the following items (Amazon affiliate links included to the specific items I purchased):

The insert is labeled with the Scout Motto, “Be Prepared”, in the upper-right corner.

The tins I used were the Tamicy Metal Rectangular Empty Hinged Tins, but I believe a standard Altoids tin would work.

To be clear, this is more of a “designer” fire-starting kit intended to be used as a neat gift for Scouts. You can hold quite a bit more in a small tin if you don't use an insert like this.

I printed the model in Galaxy Silver Prusament PLA with 15% infill and a 0.15mm layer height.
