This bracket was designed to quickly convert 1 inch PVC pipes into a towel rack of whatever length you would like.  I have tested this with lengths up to 2 feet and it works well.  Your mileage may very with longer pipes as PVC is a very flexible material.

You will need:

  • (4) 5mm screws
  • (4) anchors if attaching to
  • 1 inch PVC pipe cut to length of your choice

Materials: I have tested this in PLA and it works well.  This print should work well with any material that isn't overly brittle.  If you are printing in Resin you will likely want to use at minimum an ABS-like resin.

Instructions:

  • Align the large flat surface as the bottom of your model
  • You will need to print 2 of this model.
  • If printing in resin: It is recommended to hollow your model to reduce resin consumption
  • Use support since there is a large overhang at the top of the model.
  • Use other settings you normally use for your material and printer.
  • Due to variations in the internal diameter of PVC and 3D printers , you may need to sand the end of the bracket and/or the inside of your PVC.  You may also need a mild lubricant like soapy water.  Alternatively you may need glue if the connection is overly loose.
  • Attach a bracket to either end of your PVC and align them on a flat surface.
  • Paint if desired.
  • Hang the assembled towel rack where desired using appropriate screws and anchors.  A level is recommended for proper alignment.
  • insert the small pieces into the screw holes to hide your screws (if desired).
  • stand back and admire your work!
