This model is designed to hold the round insect screens in place over your heater vent without having to use the frustrating little spring clips.
Materials: Choose a heat, UV, and chemical resistant material. Tested with PETG.
Instructions:
- Support recommended
- Choose settings that work well with your printer and material choice
- Insert screens in adapter before installing. They will be a fairly tight fit but should fully clear the base plate.
- Remove the screws used to hold your cover plate in place (do not remove the cover plate)
- Make sure your screws will seal when reinserted. You may need to add additional sealant.
- Put screws through provided holes in bracket and install over existing plate.
- It is recommended that you install opposing corner screws first in case of imperfect screw hole alignment.
Edit 5/23/23: Added a revised model with better clearance for heat from top vent. Please note, the plastic may still melt if you run the heat with this attached.
