Recently got a bunch of d4s, and thought about how to store them in an interesting way.

As there is no perfect tessellation for tetrahedrons I decided for a layered approach. The 4 layers hold 16+9+4+1 = 30 dice.

I tried adding numbers to cover and base, but that caused my prints to fail or just looked bad. Also would not be balanced at all, so I don't recommend using this as actual dice.

As dice sizes can have a lot of variance, I recommend test-fitting with the second and third floor, to make sure the alignment holes work as intended. If they don't fit, the whole stack will be taller and therefore won't fit within the cover.

For reference, my dice are around 17.1mm high (bottom to rounded top), additional measurements are included in the openscad file. A few more things can also be changed (height of lip & floors, thickness of cover & tabs).

Scaling everything equally may work, but I have not tested this.
