I've recently inherited an older Sears 24lb. trolling motor. I've looked high and low for a replacement propeller but the output shaft of this motor isn't standard.

So, what better reason to experiment with 3d printed propellers. As you can see in the pictures I machined a drive hub and keeper out of aluminium. The propeller blades are kept secure by a lip on the drive hub and keeper and six 10-32UNF SHCS. The use of six screws also allows me to try out either two or three blade configurations. If there is demand I can generate drawings of these parts but you'll be on your own if you want to make them out of plastic.

For the blades proper I've used  Anachronist wonderful Eliptical Blade NACA library:

I'm not very good with Scad but with a bit of fiddling about I was able to generate what I needed. I've included the .scad file if you want to have a stab at it.

The blades are printed with a .2 layer height out of PLA. I intend to make a more permanent set out of weather resisting plastic once the testing phase is done.

I've had a bit of trouble with the support sticking to the model, likely a settings problem.

The particulars:

225mm (8-7/8" +/-) outside diameter, 100mm (4" +/-) pitch, 10deg. rake.
