Whether you want to cherry pick your components, or just want to be able to say that more of the Prusacaster you're building was 3d-printed; this is one more of those things! The original Prusacaster guidance centered around buying a DIY guitar kit to provide most of the hardware for your build, so if you're following that you won't be necessarily need one of these. This is a plate that fits the Prusacaster, with good rigidity, and looks good doing it!
Usage Tips
I paired my control plate with Fender-branded CTS pots and a Fender-branded 3-way switch. This plate is designed around those dimensions, which should be fairly standard.
When installing the pots, it should be a fairly tight fit depending on your tolerances, which allows you to effectively “screw in” the pots to the plate. You may still install the front washers, though you shouldn't have to turn them too much due to the plate thickness.
The slot for the 3-way switch was just enough to be able to actuate it, so if you're using a thicker switch it may require some modification.
Print Tips
Print flat with between 10-20% infill, depending on your preferences. I used Tri-Hexagon infill as when it shows through it jives with the hexagons in the body. Gyroid worked well in some prototypes, as well.
About
Originally printed by me on the Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro. I used this on the Minicaster variant of the Prusacaster, which just has smaller component pieces.
