IfDisclaimer: I have designed a few rockets. Some work. Some… don't. This one is a more risky/non traditional design, so launch entirely at your own risk.
Everyone has been told “yeah, when pigs fly” at one point.
I figured it was time to make that happen.
I've only ever made symmetrical rockets, but having a smoother back and a larger face with ears… didn't bode well.
So I added small fins at the top at an opposing angle to induce a “stability corkscrew”
I also added a tail over the pigs a…. “vent hole” to induce some drag on that side.
Why the vent hole? The estes motors pop a little charge to blow out the parachute. This rocket is light enough it should needed it.
There's a decent chance it'll blow up anyway as the hole is only 5mm wide… but hey, that's part of the fun!
Printing is easy, just punch through a sacraficial support layer in the middle of the rocket with a screwdriver or some other 10cm-ish long object.
