I printed a tool similar to this from a Facebook group I am a part of, but wanted something safer and easier to print. This prints with no supports, just make sure you have good adhesion (tested on a Prusa MK3S+ and a CR10S Pro). I left the base without rounded corners intentionally to make sure it has enough surface area for good adhesion.
Purchase: You need to purchase a 1.5mm or 1.7mm rod that is 150mm long or shorter. My printers need 120mm + so 150mm was perfect for me. A 200mm rod is too long and will not fit. Maybe if I figure out how to make this parametric I can make a version that works for other sizes. This is the link to the rods I purchased: 150mm x 1.5mm rods.
Printing: Print one of each part, if your printer tends to need more tolerance then print the screw top with a larger hole. Put a drop of superglue in the hole and insert the metal rod. Optionally, using pliers, rough up one end of the rod before inserting to make the glue adhere better.
Use: When you have a clog insert this tool down the filament path of a HOT printer, and force the filament through the nozzle. (If you have a Prusa turn off filament auto feed and open the filament hatch.) Watch this video for a demonstration of a similar tool.
