This remix is an add-on to the Donor Spool to provide some stabilization or passive braking to the donor spool during respooling. I found that the donor spool will spin freely when stopping the rewind process and many rounds of filament will come loose. This add-on applies some pressure against the donor spool to prevent this unwinding and to better maintain some tension in the filament between the donor and receiving spool.

The design consists of two plates that sandwich some material of choice to apply some friction to the spool reel. Stubs in the plates are inserted into two of the existing holes on one end of the Donor Spool Holder Frame. Two retaining clips are used to help keep the padding material secure.

In the example photos, I used some foam padding that came with some shipment, but you can certainly choose any material that is stiff enough to provide the necessary friction to prevent free donor spool rotation.

Included in the files is a BBL X1C .3mf file with an example layout. It includes two plates and four clips, two printed flat and two vertical. You can delete either set since you only need two but I wanted to see if there might be any benefit of either so I printed both.
