This is an accessible Scrabble board designed for tactile play. The board is divided into four separate quarters, which are assembled into a full playing surface. The set is intended to work with letter tiles that can be read by touch as well as by sight, making it practical for blind, partially sighted and sighted players playing together.
The bonus fields are assigned using geometric shapes: smal and big square for 2x and 3x letter bonus; small and big circle for 2x and 3x word bonus.

Things to note

The tiles are printed horizontally, so the Braille used has been made slightly larger than standard. This works well for small game tiles and is readable enough for play, but it should not be treated as a reference for door signages, longer labels or general-purpose Braille captions. It is too large for that kind of use.

Recommended print settings

  • Print the board as 4 separate quarters and assemble them into the full board.

  • PET-G is recommended for the board because the structure is relatively delicate.

  • A 0.6 mm nozzle is suitable for the board.

  • No special print requirements beyond normal good calibration are needed, but clean printing will help keep the recessed fields and tactile markings clear.
