This model is inspired by https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2416859 I have included my source code.

I made several modifications to this to make it easier to print and build.

  • The rear cap is a separate component
  • The shaft is printed sideways for strength
  • The channel for the potentiometer has been opened at the corners
  • The size has been confirmed against a real SG90 servo
  • The shaft is keyed with a 3d printed D, this means that it will not work with SG90 horns, but I have also re-created all the horn types that come with an SG90
  • Support material is built in.

This is used with 10k ohm potentiometers such as

The hole for the shaft is intended to be drilled out with a 13/64 inch or 5.2mm drill bit.

The rear cap is held on with a 3mmx14mm screw for wood or plastic.

The horn is held on with a 2mmx9mm wood screw.
