An AT24C256 I2C EEPROM Memory Module mount for 2020 extrusions. I am using this for a BTT SKR 1.4 board on my custom built delta printer. This lightly clamps the EEPROM module and has open sides for airflow, although I don't know if these get hot. I made my own Molex connector wires.

I purchased the AT24C256 I2C EEPROM Memory Module HERE.

There are two good write-ups by  MAKE ‘N’ PRINT and AUTODESK Instructables (the Instructables is what helped me most, especially RickeyH's code in the comment section).

It took me few few attempts to get the separate EEPROM module to work, so you may have to figure out what works for you based on what version of Marlin you have.

I am using Marlin bugfix CONFIGURATION_H_VERSION 02000905, and the following settings worked for me; I wired the EEPROM according to the last image.

CONFIGURATION_H

* EEPROM

 *

 * Persistent storage to preserve configurable settings across reboots.

 *   M500 - Store settings to EEPROM.

 *   M501 - Read settings from EEPROM. (i.e., Throw away unsaved changes)

 *   M502 - Revert settings to "factory" defaults. (Follow with M500 to init the EEPROM.)

 */

#define EEPROM_SETTINGS     // Persistent storage with M500 and M501

//#define DISABLE_M503        // Saves ~2700 bytes of flash. Disable for release!

#define EEPROM_CHITCHAT       // Give feedback on EEPROM commands. Disable to save PROGMEM.

#define EEPROM_BOOT_SILENT    // Keep M503 quiet and only give errors during first load

#if ENABLED(EEPROM_SETTINGS)

  //#define EEPROM_AUTO_INIT  // Init EEPROM automatically on any errors.

  //#define EEPROM_INIT_NOW   // Init EEPROM on first boot after a new build.

#endif

BigTreeTech SKR 1.4 pin assignments

// EEPROM

//

#if NO_EEPROM_SELECTED

#include"pins_BTT_SKR_common.h"

  #define MNV_SKRV1_4_256K_END 0x7FFF //32Kb

  #define I2C_EEPROM                            // EEPROM on I2C-0

  #define MARLIN_EEPROM_SIZEMNV_SKRV1_4_256K_END

  #define E2END MNV_SKRV1_4_256K_END

  //#define SDCARD_EEPROM_EMULATION

#endif

#if ENABLED(I2C_EEPROM)

  #define MARLIN_EEPROM_SIZE              0x8000  // 32K

#elif ENABLED(SDCARD_EEPROM_EMULATION)

  #define MARLIN_EEPROM_SIZE               0x800  // 2K

#endif

I printed this with ATOMIC PLA. Print the two parts as is, use support for the top piece due to the screw counter bore.

Hardware needed:

2 ea. - M3 9mm diameter washers

2ea. - M3 tee-nuts

1 ea. - M3 x 8 screw

1 ea. - M3 x 20 screw
