A hollow model of the nematode, C. elegans.
Entry for the “Worm Art Show” at the 2023 International Worm Meeting in Glasgow, Scotland!
•This model does require some glueing. It will likely need supports on the inside in various places.
Printing tips:
I printed it at 85% scale with transparent PLA. Once printed, I inserted the lights into the worm and sealed it shut by glueing the base using 3DGloop. There’s a little space in the base for the wire to come out the back.
While it’s possible to skip using the base altogether, I found that the lights tended to pop out without it. I used lights from Amazon similar to these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08TM4N1TF?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
