This spacer replaces the factory one with a round one and allows the mount of common stems. I switched to a 35mm carbon bar and stem and wanted to have a solution that still looks oem. All factory hardware still in place, just switched the spacer. There is a grove in the bottom which allows the use of a felt seal (I did lasercut one) which works quite well in my case (used together with a bearing grease).
