This is a light duty fork latch for use with gates that are used for pass through or access - not meant to contain livestock or large animals. I do have two latches on a gate for a pen that is used to exercise a four legged 50lb bulldozer and in the past two weeks the latches have held against several impacts at speed from her herding a hard plastic yard ball.
I have included clamps for ½" and ¾" pipe gates since those are what I have. The clamps will work with PVC/iron/galvanized pipe as well as RAC and IMC conduit. The IMC may need a light wrap to get the OD right.
The V1 clamp is pinned to the gate. The V2 clamp is a bolt on clamp that can be pinned to the gate or held place with set screws using heat set inserts from the inside. I used 5/16" bolts since that is what I had on hand.
