I am starting to fly fish, and got a Redington Path II as my first rod. It came with a 4-5-6 Crosswater Reel that has since been upgraded by Redington, making it hard to get spare spools without finding other sellers to buy the entire reel.
I wanted to try and out different fly lines and figured I could just make spare reels that are compatible with the drag system. The holes for the knob are for 3M bolt, but did threaded and self-threading hold since the supports sometimes make threaded holes a bit difficult.
I plan to make some different designs, rather than the spoke look, maybe to indicate the line size or a cool decal.
Please note, this looks like it might fish, but probably not as reliable as the original spool. Also, definitely needs supports, as I tried to match the contours of the original reel to fit within the reel's frame.
