I am making my crummy air exchanging AC way better! If you don't know why your AC unit might be doing you a disservice check this out:

I really don't think anyone else will have the exact combination of random things that I had to start with, but maybe it serves as a starting point for your adventure. I used some random house vent parts, card board and some gorilla tape to affix an air duct to the grill that serves as the input air to the AC unit. This hose will be drawing air in so the AC can add heat and blow it out the exhaust pipe.

I am making use of a cat door as the ‘make up’ air for the AC system. I had a reducer that came with an AC unit, probably a 6" → 5" reducer with an outside diameter of ~125mm. The 6" tube was taped on the 6" side and the 5" side wedges into the cat door print. I made the tube inside diameter in the cat door insert have slight taper to wedge and secure the reducer in place.

On the outside I wanted bug and critter protection, so I printed this 140mm fan grille.

I guess this means you could just mount a fan to the outside?!? I used melt-in threaded inserts for M4 to secure the Hex grille. The mounting holes for the inserts are 6mm.
