Made for very niche situation where I needed to anchor cable on the wall. (Useful in situation where you have more of this kind of wall and do not want to leave a push-pin hole in the wall, or did not want to impale cable.)

Spec

  • Designed for push-pin by Daiso (long needle)
    • Handle part must be 9mm in diameter or less
    • Pin is recommended to be about 20mm or more in length. (Body thickness for pin to go through is about 13mm or less)
    • Pin also must be less than 1.8 mm or less in thickness (1.8mm is designed thickness, so realistically 1.5mm or less should be good depending on the tolerance and shrinkage rate of your print)
    • This pin in picture is from Daiso. Apparently MUJI  carries the similar one as well.
  • Cable must be under 9mm in thickness

Tips for printing

I recommend printing one piece to test a few points listed below, as well as testing the fitting with the pushpin you have.

  • Slightly flexible material needed - PLA is perfect!
  • 0.4mm nozzle or smaller recommended: Ring part is designed barely thick enough for 0.4mm nozzle, so that slicer can print the ring perimeter with body in one piece. Otherwise, ring part might break apart
  • Tolerance is 0.3mm - Make sure your printer can handle that - otherwise the clip will get stuck
