There are many different ways to cap the end of a drip tape irrigation line and I know them all. Although after five years of working on a small farm this one was my favorite. Sadly the company that manufactured these stopped making them because they were too expensive to produce.
Thanks to the magic of 3D printing and at under 4 grams per part, it only costs about 7 cents to print one of these now. I made a few little improvements to the original design. The files that say “12x” at the end are for when you need to print a large quantity.
I've also learned how to generate STEP files, which apparently produce better slicing, so the models with “STEP” in the name are derived from those.
2024-05-14 Update: After trialing these on my small farm for a few months I noticed that they started to warp, crack and eventually break, so I revised the design, making it a bit thicker and hopefully avoiding that problem. We'll see. Anyway, the new version has been added to the list of files below.
