I used strips of case foam I had from a bigger case under the device and in the lid, stuck on with double sided tape, and self adhesive felt where the grips would touch the case.

The lid is just tall enough to clear the sticks, which still can be pressed if force is applied in specific locations. For less chance of the sticks accidentally being pushed, add a few mm to the Lid Height.
Needs six M3x30 bolts.
