I wanted a way to reliably and simply mount an SSD1306 OLED board of the standard dimensions to my hobby enclosure, and this fulfills that need. Keeps the OLED display square and tight to the edges and doesn't wiggle around.
Top Hat: for mounting to the outside of an enclosure. Best for an existing panel that you cut out, steel panels, etc.
Bottom Hat: for mounting to the inside of a panel, best for a fully 3D printed enclosure where you can include a perfectly sized cutout in your enclosure design.
Printing Instructions:
- I like to use supports in the bottom hat nut pockets just to keep them perfect.
- 0.20mm layer height with 0.40mm nozzle works just fine for the standoff posts.
Refer to pictures for the required panel cutout for each board. Hole bores, nut pockets and countersinks designed for M3 countersunk screws to sit flush.
