We have Levolor blinds in our house and if you have blinds you know that the larger they are, the more draw strings they have.  Some of our blinds have 8 separate draw strings!

This is frustrating because the strings get all tangled up and that prevents the blinds from going up and down properly.  Or when you try and pull the blinds up you have to make sure you grab every one of the 8 pulls or the blind doesn't pull up evenly.

To combat this I created a small “detangler” that keeps the strings separated.  The draw strings on the blinds are separated into 4 pairs, each pair is placed in a slot on the detangler.  There are 2 covers for the detangler that snap in the slots and can be removed with a little force.  You want to place the detangler as high as you can when your blinds are completely drawn down.

No more cord chaos!

Printed .2mm layer height, 10% infill, no base, no supports.

EDIT 9/6/2023:

Turns out the nylon cords on one of my blinds were thicker than all the others so the detangler would not snap together properly.  I created a new version (Detangler V3) that has a rotating cover instead of 2 snap on covers.  The rotating cover prints in place.  Print it with .2mm layer height and change your layer width to .3mm.  Do NOT print with supports, I added little breakaway supports in the model so all you need to do is twist it to snap them after you've finished printing.

This version is much easier to manage the cords.  Simply line the slot up with a groove and insert your first two cords. Then rotate the enclosure, lining the slot up with the next groove and insert the next two cords. Rinse and repeat.
