Introducing HexaTrellis, the supreme hexagonal trellis system that'll make your climbing plants feel like royalty.

You see, we firmly believe that Hexagons are not just polygons; they're the Bestagons. No offense to those other polygons, but they're just not as sharp as us.

Now, we don't like to brag (okay, maybe just a little), but we couldn't find any existing designs that met our lofty standards. Some of them had pins that were stuck like a stubborn joke, and don't even get us started on those double-walled hexagon junctions – a real architectural identity crisis.

So, we took matters into our own hands and came up with this masterpiece, guided by three brilliant principles:

  1. Full parametric magic, thanks to OpenSCAD (because who needs limits?).
  2. Clean design that's smoother than a silk scarf, with no protruding pins, fixations, or unsightly holes (we like our hexagons smooth, not bumpy).
  3. It's a breeze to print and use – no support needed, and you won't need a toolbox bigger than your backyard to assemble it. Just some wall screws and you're good to go.

Usage

To make crafting your custom trellis a walk in the garden, we've tossed in a handy PDF schematic. Sketch out your dream design, list the pieces you need, and start printing!

We've also got your back with a standard set of STL pieces that should cover most folks' needs. The standard dimension is 210mm (~8.25 in), so it can fill most base plates (after a small rotation).

But hey, if you're the type who likes to put their personal touch on everything:

  1. Grab OpenSCAD.
  2. Dance your creative fingers in the customizer pane (it's on the right).
  3. Work your magic, then hit render (F6) and export (F7) each unique element.

In any case, do not forget to grab the BOM pdf! Get your design party started and tally up the perfect part count by downloading the Bill Of Materials included with the model files.

Get ready to unleash your inner trellis architect! 🌱✨
