I was given an old shop vac that was missing one of its wheels.  I could probably find one online but figured I would make one myself instead.  I originally printed the caster body in PLA but it ended up breaking after about 2 years of light use.  I just reprinted it out of PETG which should be able to take more abuse.  Hardware came from a Harbor Freight bolt package with nylon locking nuts.

Hardware used:

1 - ¼"-20 x 2" bolt

2 - ¼"-20  lock washers

1 - ¼" washer

1 - 5/32"-32 x 1.5" bolt

1 - 5/32"-32 lock nut

Notes - Print two wheel halves.  Print the vacspacer and make sure its a snug fit for the slot in the vacuum, mine had variances between all the wheels.  Print the casterbody with the longest edge flat on the build pate.

To assemble:

Put the vacspacer on the large bolt and tighten nut up against it.  Put on a washer, then feed it through the casterbody.  Add the second nut tightly enough that it has minimal wobble, but can still rotate freely.  Put the two wheel halves together flat side to flat side.  I originally planned on glues them together but did not need to do so.  Put the axle sleeve through the two halves to hold them together.  The wheels should be able to spin on the sleeve.  Align the wheel inside the caster body and put the small bolt through the casters sides and the wheel, Tighten the nut, but leave loose enough to allow the wheel to spin.
