This model is a part of Vase Jar “system” - few models I created that are inter compatible. Available:

  • plain round model LINK
  • textured round model LINK
  • solid lid for all models LINK
  • Halloween style model LINK

I give you a parametric jar/container. It has a threaded lid - both to be printed vase mode. This model is quick to print and it requires very little filament - 100x100x100mm version is just 45g for both jar and lid.

Size guide:

  • bottom of all jars is square
  • folders in downloads are sorted by bottom size with different heights

Following sizes are available in download section:

  • 50mm
  • 75mm
  • 100mm
  • 125mm
  • 150mm

Note: bigger sizes would most probably require higher extrusion width for strength.

Printing:

  • enable vase mode in your slicer
  • 3-4 bottom layers
  • my models were printed with 0.6mm nozzle and all threads fit, tolerances are fine
  • PETG is suggested to print jars and lids due to its greater flexibility

Parametric modification:

If provided files does not fit your needs please have a look at included fusion360 file. There are three parameters to modify:

  • boxw - bottom size
  • boxh and boxtop - both of those parameters sum up to total height of the jar. First one defines bottom part and second the head. Please set the top one so that bottom of thread has  2-3mm space below

Let me know how it works for you. Happy printing!
