Light shield designed for a Zeiss AXIO with a WD=53 condenser having a 58mm barrel.
Simplified construction compared to the similar Ti2 Light Shield which allows instantaneous installation and removal.
Printing
Print all parts with a 0.4 nozzle and 0.2 layer height (or lower) using a strongly black material. No supports required.
Assembly and usage
Wrap the collar with a wide elastic band. Insert the collar into the shade, then slide upwards directly into the lens barrel. If the fit is too loose or tight, adjust the elastic tension by doing multiple loops as required.
The collar and shade are intentionally not attached so that the shade can be easily lifted/tilted for more clearance during operation.
