Minisforum HM90 downside cooling is a case thats attaches to the bottom of the minicomputer and holds two 2.5inch disks with a fan that cools all components from the bottom.

If you want to recreate this you will need:

When you have all the parts you will have to:

  1. Connect the drives to the extension cables
  2. Screw the drives in with the extension cable under the disk
  3. Modify the fan like shown on the pictures so it will fit into the case
  4. Screw the fan into place (keep in mind to put the extension cables aside the fan like shown in the pictures)
  5. Get the motherboard out of the case
  6. Use wire taps (in German “Strom Diebe”) to “steal” to power from the original fan for our Fan
    • Yellow → +12V
    • Black → Ground
  7. now put everything back together and connect the disks
  8. Screw the bottom to the original case
And you are Finished!
