This headphone hook will mount easily to 1U 19" rack used for music effects and other audio gear.
I use it on the rack that holds my modular eurorack synth to hold my Sony headphones and to tidy cables coming in or out of the rack.
It could probably also be useful for cable management for telecom or network equipment.
This is a customizable version of one of the very first models I ever made. I rewrote the OpenSCAD source file to be much easier to work with. If you're learning OpenSCAD, you might like to compare this version with the original.
Customizing
Open the .scad file with OpenSCAD and use the customizer panel to set whatever width hook you want. Render and then export the model as an STL or 3MF. Import that into your slicer and you're ready to go!
I uploaded a 48mm size hook that fits the Sony MDR-7506s well. There is also a tiny version that is only 5.5mm. The assumptions of the model won't let you customize it any smaller.
You can go pretty large too - probably larger than you should with this design. Anything larger than 120mm starts to look like it'd be pretty fragile. I've not printed anything nearly that big because I have no use for it. If you print one of the large versions, please I'd appreciate to see how it turns out in the comments.
Printing
I uploaded the PrusaSlicer project file I used. I set perimeters to 3 and added two regions to reinforce around where screws pass through. None of that is probably needed, but now it'll last forever.
I printed this on a Prusa MINI+ using Hatchbox Dark Gray Matte PLA with the 0.25 DRAFT preset.
