This is a 40"x50" palm tree C-channel LED sign model. The model is broken up into small enough pieces to fit most print beds. A mirrored model is provided for mounting multiple palm trees together in an aesthetic manner.
Printing
- 0.2mm layer height
- Supports enabled for male connector
- ABS or PC for outdoor use
Assembly
- Each piece has a male and female connector aside from 14B which is used to connect both sides.
- The pieces are labeled 1A-14A and 1B-14B for easy assembly. The ‘A’ pieces should be assembled together following the numbered order until the end of the ‘A’ side meets up with the end of the ‘B’ side 14A and 14B connect to eachother.
- Although the connectors are a tight fight, I would highly recommend super gluing the pieces together to make mounting easier. It's easiest to apply super glue to the male side of the connector before inserting it to the other piece.
Mounting
- All 6 screw holes should be used in the center of the model to mount it properly
- A mounting assist bracket model is provided to hold the sign together straight to help mount the unit to the wall. Without this, it will be very difficult to mount it straight.
LEDs
- The C-channel width for the LED strip is 6.2mm
- I used these diffused LEDs https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BRBFW77R .
- I did not have to glue the LEDs in, they were able to stay in with tension.
