Sick of the typical miter boxes that get thorn the more you used it, I made a new miter guide that only grabs the blade above the teeth and so should last quite a while. It is adjustable and has markings for 90, 45, 30 and 22.5 degree (positive and negative). Print in a darker filament to get them stand out more. Can easily set to 90 by pushing one side against a flat surface.
In tests it performed very well, its designed for a 0.6mm Japaneese Pull saw - thicker blades might get stuck, thinner might not be 100% vertical but shoudl still work. Made for 0.25mm layer heights, no supports needed. 15% infull feels sturdy enough.
Hardware needed:
- 1x Bolt M8x20mm (slighly longer is ok)
- 2x Screws M3,5 x 16mm (M4 should work too, longer screws need to be clipped
