This model could be used for anything where you need to separate two different things in the same category - in this case, notes and coins.
Outer bin holds coins. It's a standard 2x1 Gridfinity bin with 3 compartments but with an additional internal lip halfway up the bin on the inside. The lip is designed to act as a stopper for the inner bins which fit inside (not too snug).
Inner bin holds rolled-up notes, with place for label. The label holder extrusion continues down further than normal, so the notes stay upright. Hopefully makes sense if you look at the pics.
Storage capacity: good for about 10 coins per section. It just fits a 50p and 2p coin, which are larger than most other coins I have. The coin storage isn't huge by any means. I could have made the detent for the notes bin higher, to store more coins. But then the height wouldn't fit in my bedside table.
