What is one of the most stable natural shapes? The hexagon. If it’s good enough for nature, it should be good enough for your paintbrushes.

Seeing all the honeycomb storage options, out there, got me wondering why there weren't any for paintbrushes.

This honeycomb based paintbrush holder can hold as many as 64 paintbrushes with handles as thick as 12mm, and 4 as wide as 1.5 inches.

Whats even better is that all 6 pieces of it will easily fit onto printers as small as the Ender 3 platforms (what I printed it on).

These were printed using a brim for extra support of the base/top piece.

The posts are simply friction fit to the top/bottom, and will need a small support under the ends, while printing.

Please share likes, comments/suggestions, and your makes and/or remixes! They all go to giving me ideas I can try to design!

Print the top/bottom part twice and the post four times.

Base: 154 (X) x 82.5 (Y) x 5 (Z) mm

Infill: anything high enough to support the top layers.

Suggest to have posts laid down, to aid in minimization of excess filament usage.

*** SIDE NOTE *** This is not HSW compliant. Though, I plan to make one, once I learn OpenSCAD, better.

Likes, comments, and shares of your make, all help to give me ideas of where my mind will journey next!
