This model is inspired (not a remix, since it's modeled from the ground up) by Tony Tsay's Customizable bit holder and screw driver, but with a few improvements over the original idea:
- Better tolerance for ¼" bits
- Being able to place a 6x2mm neodimium magnet at the bottom of the main bit hole
- Make better use of the “real estate” taken by the handle, so it is hollow with a screw-in lid, thus effectively turning it into a storage space
- Better grip, so the handle is textured
- Still be compact and useful
- Stay upright with the lid on or off
- Easy to print
The nice thing about this model is that the storage at the handle.
Suggested printing tips:
- PLA or PETG
- 0.12mm to 0.16mm layer height, for better resistance
- >35% infill, octet (also for better resistance)
- the body/handle does not require supports for printing
- the lid may require support, but since it is a quite small part, it will use minimal support.
- if using CURA, use the following settings:
- Wall Ordering: Inside to Outside
- Use Adaptative Layers
- Slicing Tolerance: Exclusive
- Walls: ≥ 3
