  • Guides and base holes are clearanced perfectly
  • Printed at 100% infill
  • Ideal for both DIY and professional use

For printing I had Overture Black PETG loaded up already, and I figured PETG would be a good choice for this. I am running a Prusa MK4 with a modded enclosure. Specs:

  • Prusa MK4 with .4mm Nozzle and Latest Input Shaper
  • Overture Black PETG with Generic PETG Filament in PrusaSlicer
  • Layers and Perimeters adjustment on the Base to 5 perimeters. This was to keep input shaper from nearly chunking the entire enclosure off it's stand while printing the infill in a rectilinear pattern. Smooth concentric perimeters worked much better.
  • 100% infill. This is all that I tried, and I believe it to be necessary.
  • My print time for 1 base and 3 guides was 2 hours and 8 minutes.

This is my first model that I have taken from idea to reality. I am very proud of the end result, and would appreciate any helpful feedback. I started out making a guide for one hole in a specific spot for our cabinets at home, which led me to this as the day progressed. I struggled with the numbers a bit, and we will call this “wabi sabi” rather than an error.

I had some other ideas for this, but somebody may be able to make them faster than me with a remix. I will upload more as I have time. Some ideas:

  • Imperial Version
  • Larger Base / More Holes
  • Different Spacings / Patterns
  • Magnets
